Forever Echoes ("we," "our," or "us") is operated by TayCoop Studios. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Forever Echoes mobile application and website (foreverechoesapp.com).

By using our services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and optionally your phone number.

Content You Create: Stories, written chapters, voice recordings, interview transcripts, photos, and any other content you or your contributors submit through the app.

Payment Information: Payment details are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card information on our servers.

Usage Data: We collect analytics about how you use the app, including screens visited, features used, device type, operating system, and app version.

Push Notification Tokens: If you enable push notifications, we store your device token to send you updates about your Echoes.

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain the Forever Echoes service
• Create personalized memory books (Echoes)
• Process orders and payments
• Send notifications about Echo activity, contributor submissions, and chapter updates
• Improve our app and develop new features
• Respond to support requests
• Send important service announcements

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard practices:

• Account data and content are stored in encrypted databases
• Photos and media files are stored on Cloudflare R2 with secure access controls
• Voice recordings are stored securely and can be deleted by you at any time
• All data transmission uses HTTPS/TLS encryption

We use the following third-party services to operate Forever Echoes:

• Stripe: Payment processing for book orders. We do not store your credit card information.
• Cloudflare R2: Secure file storage for photos and media.
• Lulu: Book printing and fulfillment. We share your shipping address with Lulu to fulfill print orders.
• ElevenLabs: Voice processing (if applicable).
• Sentry: Error tracking (anonymized data only).
• Expo: Push notifications delivery.
• OpenAI / Anthropic: AI services for interview guidance and chapter generation. Your content is processed but not used to train their models.

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only:

• With third-party services listed above, solely to provide our service
• With other contributors on an Echo you participate in (they see your name and chapter content)
• If required by law or to protect our rights

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. User data is kept until you request account deletion. Voice recordings can be deleted by you at any time from within the app.

You can delete your account and all associated data from within the app at any time (Settings → Delete Account). When you delete your account:

• All your personal data, stories, photos, and voice recordings are permanently deleted
• Echos you organized will be removed along with all associated content
• This action is irreversible
• Printed books already shipped cannot be recalled

California Residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, how we use it, and to request deletion. You can also opt out of the sale of your personal information (we do not sell your data).

European Residents (GDPR): You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, object to processing, and data portability.

You also have the right to:

• Access: View all data associated with your account
• Update: Edit your profile information at any time
• Delete: Delete your account and all data through the app
• Export: Request a copy of your data by contacting us

Forever Echoes is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@foreverechoesapp.com.

Our website uses minimal cookies for session-based authentication only. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking cookies.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
